Monty,
I know you used to use the rubberized tip bit to clean up the inside of the cans to prep them for the magnets. I just wore out my last one. I went to all the home improvement stores with no luck. Even checked out the dremel website and didn't see one. You don't happen to know a part # or a place to purchase? Is that what your still using or have you found something better? Thanks for the help.

Great stuff, unlimited uses! Comes in wheels, discs, bullets, blocks, rods & sticks.
The leading brand is Cratex, but there are others. Fully stocked at machine shop supply houses like Enco, McMaster Carr, or MSC.
Try use-enco.com . You can also find all the drills and reamers you need there, as well as measureing tools, wire wheels, brushes, and drill blanks.
Cratex blocks or rectangular sticks are the hot setup for cleaning armature stacks. They will also clean your HO track rails and contact shoes. With care, Cratex wheels will remove solder from cans or chassis without removing any steel.

#TW only $299.99 for you!
Block, 1/2" square section 6" long, 388-4062
Wheel 7/8" x 1/8" thick 388-0103
Bullet Point 1" x 9/32" dia. 388-0053
Numbers listed are all for the 'fine' grit. All, with different #'s, are available in coarse, medium, and extrafine. These are the ones I use. Don't forget mandrels... Also, the price seems high ($55 range, consult a current catalog) but thats per 100 piece box. Share with friends. The block is only $10 - I've cleaned several thousand armatures with it, still lots left. I have holes drilled through the block to help clean arm shafts and smooth comm ends.
#388-1777 , approx. $60, is a kit of 80 wheels and points and four mandrels, includes all four grits and also tapered wheels and blunt points. You would possibly find uses for most eventually, particularly if you do chassis work as well.

Appreciate the help. I contacted MSC, got the exact ones I wanted, made by Dremel. I ordered on Monday and they were on my doorstep Tuesday afternoon. Thanks again
