View Full Version : From whom can i get the endbell alignment drilling jig
Hello monty,
i have a as soon as possible need for the jig that is used to drill holes in endbell's for the endbell hardware and i need to know what is the drill size needed and from whom i can get the drill bit. This is my first time doing this and i don't want to mess it up.
Also what size drill bit or tap do i need to drill the four holes to secure the endbell to the can.
Thank you monty.

UH, that jig is for aligning the brush hoods and drilling the can mounting screws if needed to square the assembly. There IS a fixture to drill NEW endbells for 'C' cans that have never been drilled to mount the hoods. Saw one in the display case at MidAmerica last week. Call Roger from the banner ad.

Misunderstood what he wanted. I deleted the post. Thanks Larry.
...don't mean you gotta use it! I spoke with Alvin on the phone this morning, and realized he had the old pink Kelly/Redfox endbell that came packaged with the Silver Bullet can. Once you beat it straight, thats a good can, I built hundreds of them. The endbell, on the other hand, is a big PITA. I advised him to just mount a ProSlot #643. Its stronger, comes with holes molded in, the hardware is better, you don't need to glue the hardware down, and its almost self aligning. The bushing glues in better too.
I also use the Prolot endbell when building up the Koford feather cans. For those who complain about the extra half gram weight of the PS 643, there is always the Cahoza ProFi, at a higher price and harder to find.
