Motor Brushes substitution

I have to ask: do 36D pullouts work as substitutes for the BF2 and gold dust motor brushes? I know top-end wing car motors don't like them....

I can't really answer that one, having last used reliably genuine pullouts in 1980. Today, I would tend to beleive most of the genuine 1960's Mabuchi 36d brushes were pirated from their proper homes long ago. If you have found they don't hack it in a modern G7, why inflict them on any other class since Golddust brushes DO give good performance? I'm of the opinion that the questionable brushes showing up recently will work themselves out of the pipeline soon enough. Please note that I don't use BF2 brushes myself, even in G7.
